- EnerSea Program/Energy Conservation – Vessel energy efficiency program implemented to reduce operating expenses on fishing vessels to improve profit. Vessels were tested for various fuel saving methods including for example: fuel assessment, propeller design, and bottom cleaning. The information was transferred to fishermen through seminars and full scale demonstrations; Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
- National Research Council (IMP) – Supplied technicians to the National Research Council (IMP) to conduct work in the institute from marine dynamics testing/towing tanks.
